Mankin became famous after Sacha baron Cohen wore it in a movie called Borat. Since then it is popularly also known as Borat Mankini. The movie had the actor pose in a green Mankini and it was quite a ripple in 2006. A lot of men have started wearing it though it’s yet to pick up among everyone.
