High Quality Female Pirate Costumes
My friends and I have been really impressed with the high quality of the material, stitching and wear-ability of the female pirate costumes. I found myself slipping and sliding in high heeled pirate boots through a driving rain last year (and me with no umbrella!

Marvel Costumes – Worthy of Mention
Everyone remembers the Marvel films I presume, correct? They also make a very stylized imagining and telling of the superhero story, shot in such a way that the films make so many fans tremendously happy.
Working on Marvel costumes that are a little different or unique is not as hard as it looks. And, as far as I’m concerned, the extra effort is worth the awesome and unique costume for this Halloween.
These films are often based on graphic novels of the same name. One of the more commented upon issues with the film version of Marvel superheros are the Thor costumes. The heroes are all portrayed as hulking, masculinity. Their abdominal muscles in particular attracted great notice, as they looked quite cartoonish.
There are of course other Marvel costumes worthy of mention in the films. Another of the Marvel costumes that gained much notice was that of Spiderman. Rendered as an incredibly taught and muscular, there have been several movies released about him.
First of all, when going for a period look like Marvel costumes, I try to be careful not to do what is too easy or expected. In fact, the appeal of superhero costumes is that it is a little something different. For that reason, I try to avoid the most popular of superhero costumes. But they are a little too easy in my book. Let’s dig deeper.
I like to think about the time period or movie that I’m working with and think about getting more specific. There were lots of people wearing capes and boots, but there was only one Thor, for instance. Trying to model a specific celebrity or character is a great approach to Marvel halloween costumes.

Really, King Tut Costume Ideas Are Cool!
Some historical halloween costumes that my girlfriend and I have kicked around without actually doing over the years center on two other films from that decade that we both love. The idea works on a lot of levels if you think about it.
So if you’re going in any King Tut costumes, you need to work history into your costume. My suggestion would be something as simple as tying an sash to your back. If you come up with something even better, go for it.
Another of the King Tut costume we’ve considered is getting a bunch of friends together and going as his council. Two other great ensemble ideas from movies of that time are going as either Julius Ceasar or Mark Antony. Both are iconic characters that almost anyone would recognize off the bat.
Going as King Tut, for example, is a perfect idea for any movie halloween costumes. If she decides to wear a Cleopatra costume , that’s where you start. But to differentiate it from other older halloween costumes of that ilk, you can go a step further and make it all your own!

Choosing The Right Plus Size Halloween Costume
In the past, plus size costumes were often limited to large, oversize items, or incorporated the wearer’s current clothing. Not so anymore. With a number of shops catering to larger folks, it makes sense that Halloween outfits would start to show up in larger sizes as well. And, with high speed internet being so prevalent, ordering off the internet has opened up a whole new selection of larger sized costumes . However, you still need to put some through into what outfits you’re going to choose.
The first thing to consider is what you want to be. The possibilities are endless, but some outfits turn out better than others. Going as an emo for Halloween might not be the best choice if you’re larger, both for making the costume work, and for comfort. If you can’t try the outfit on before buying, make sure you purchase in person, or on line from a website that will allow you to return the outfit if it doesn’t fit. A pea is another simple costume you can make and stay warm. Go find some green jeans or sweats and a green sweatshirt. Keep the shirt up or cut a hole in it to make your little pod stick out and paint it all green.
If you aren’t feeling up to having a full body costume, you could always just paint the belly and proudly show it off. After all, how often will you be pregnant? Think of anything that is round: basketball, volleyball, soccer ball, a bowling ball, etc
